Hurricane Floyd - North Carolina Photographs of Action Catastrophe "On Location" Rock Mount, North Carolina caught the brunt of Hurricane Floyd. Hardee's Corporate Headquarters fell victim to Floyd's fury. Action Catastrophe was called in to cleanup the aftermath of this devastating storm. Recovery time was cut in half with the use of trailer mounted high capacity desiccant dehumidifiers. Costs were minimized and the management and staff were able to resume business as usual within record time. Several of the areas Historical Mansions were also damaged by the storm. Action Cat was able to save these older structures utilizing a special water mitigation technology. Eckerd Drugs was almost completely destroyed by flooding. Action Cat was able to help pick up the pieces and get the store back into working capacity. The receding waters indicated the possibility of mold and mildew growth. Action Cat started immediate deflooding, dehumidification, and removal of loose surface debris. They were able to stop any biological growth before it ever got started. Action Cat was called in to assist several residential property owners in the Rock Mount area. Some of the structural damage was so extensive that replacement was the best option but Action Cat was able to salvage most of the homes. Action Cat's technicians extracted the excess water then brought in dehumidification equipment and fans to dry the structures before permanent damage could take place.
